केंद्र सरकार ने सोशल मीडिया और अन्य माध्यमों में फैल रही लॉकडाउन की अफवाहों को पूरी तरह भ्रामक करार दिया है. रक्षा मंत्री किरण रिजिजू ने स्पष्ट किया कि ऐसी खबरें गलत हैं. इससे पहले पेट्रोलियम मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने भी इसे अफवाह बताया था. सरकार ने आम लोगों से शांति बनाए रखने की अपील की है और कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और उनकी टीम पूरी स्थिति पर नजर रखे हुए हैं. जमाखोरियों और पैनिक खरीददारी करने वालों के लिए चेतावनी भी जारी की गई है.
